CO2 Data Reveals Current CO2 Starvation

Two great sequestration periods occurred since the mid-Paleozoic and both appear to coincide with evolution of plants. The first woody plants and trees arose in the Middle Devonian and fueled the large coal swamps of the Carboniferous Period. Later explosion of the flowering plants (angiosperms) occurred in the Cretaceous. All the while additional C was being locked up in limestones. Also in high TOC (Total Organic Carbon) muds that were converted to the shale/mudrocks that we are now liberating with fracking.

The models used by the early geographers to “show” that carbon dioxide provides, with its stimulation of extra water vapour, an additional 33deg K to bring the temperature of the earth up to the known value of 288 K (15 C), is simply nonsense. It uses an artificial temperature, the “Effective Emission Temperature” which is obtained by spreading in a very artificial way over the whole earth, the energy received by the earth on a single 12 hour “day” while the temperature of the night side of the earth represented by their massless model, was zero Kelvin or -273 degrees Centigrade.
This temperature is 254.9 K (~-18 C). However, if a proper model is used, one which includes the soil as we know it as well as a greenhouse gas free atmosphere of N2 and O2, which can neither absorb nor radiate any electromagnetic radiation, it is VERY EASY to show that the air a quires a temperature in daylight equal to the mean value of potential gravitational energy that of the earth’s surface under the sun – a feature which is repeated every 24 hours year in year out, so that at all levels to the top of the troposphere, the energy of the molecules at each level is exactly the same energy as the lowest layer, even though colder – the kinetic energy (temperature) plus the gravitational potential energy is similar to the kinetic energy at ground level
.
This mean temperature (energy at all levels) is retained into the night at 288 K, almost the same as the temperature in daylight. Thus with temperature of the atmosphere being 288 K on both hemispheres of the earth, the mean temperature MUST be 288 K, the same as the known, MEASURED TEMPERATURE, no carbon dioxide in sight!!
Thus it is quite obvious from fairly simple physics. that carbon dioxide has NO effect on global temperatures.
