The Start of the Carbon Wars in Australia

The Green-Labour coalition has burnt the boats – they have left no room for retreat and we face total carbon war from now on.

Carbon Sunday has jolted Australians into the reality that Bob Brown and his Gaggle of Green Geese, supported by the Three Green Puppets (Windsor, Oakshott and Wilke), now control Australia’s future.

There is no room for any of our basic industries in their Grand Green Goal for Australia. They hate mining, farming, forestry, fishing and the service and heavy industries associated with them. Since the days of the first fleet, these industries have given jobs and security to all Australians. Such security was not earned by singing hymns to Gaia and sitting in the shade.

We few skeptics in the Carbon Sense Coalition have fought the carbon battle for over four years now. A few others such as Ray Evans and a couple of great journalists have battled for longer.

For 3 years no one wanted to know us, but now the seeds planted so persistently are starting to bear fruit. We have not moved at all in our positions but the mountain of public opinion has moved massively towards us. Many thinking and concerned people are now actively in the fight.

The Australian public is now aroused and hostile to the carbon tax. The general media has noticed that we exist and even the ABC has turned its baleful eye upon us.

The main goal of the Greens is to get this tax onto the books, no matter how tattered and ineffective it looks after the storm. Once there, it can be extended and increased.

Our goal is to prevent it getting onto the books IN ANY FORM and making sure all players in the game know that irresistible forces will be working to remove and repeal all trace of this ill considered legislation that manages to become law (that includes all the climate control stuff already on the books).

We now must take the fight to the boardrooms and workplaces of Australia. Every director who spends shareholder funds on the basis that all the climate paraphernalia of taxes, subsidies, exemptions, permits and mandates will continue must be warned and challenged to spell out those risks to investors.

Business and trade union leaders must be challenged by their shareholders, employees, members and customers to demonstrate the soundness of their actions.

So please help us to keep up the fight – spread the word, attend the protest rallies, harass your local politicians and candidates, write to the media, vote “No Carbon Tax” in every poll and support the organisations and parties you believe are opposing this baseless war on carbon and on Australian industry and jobs.

The New Dark (Green) Age

Last week while driving, I happened to hear part of the farewell speech of Senator Nick Minchin. We will sorely miss people like this stalwart senator. It struck me that this one sad event was like the bell tolling for the new Dark Age to come. In the next few weeks, unless a miracle occurs, and for the first time ever, dark greens and their fellow travellers will gain control of the both houses of parliament in Australia.

No doubt we have won the battle for the minds of the Australian people – every poll shows a strong majority is opposed to the tax on carbon dioxide. And there is growing scepticism for the claim that man causes climate change. But the green elite, who have never won majority support in their own right, are determined to pursue their destructive goals.

Their long-term agenda is to destroy human industry and reduce human population. Thus they are opposed to farming, mining, fishing, forestry, exploration and cheap power.

Their preferred strategy is to divide and conquer. Their tactics are to grab any real concern and magnify and divert it into another reason to destroy or hobble the industries they hate – cattle, sheep, mining, oil and gas, uranium, farming, forestry, fishing and land developers. Their greatest success is achieved when they harness and inflame one industry and use it to ram another – use farmers to destroy the gas industry, use animal lovers and meat workers to destroy live exports, use small business to attack big business, make all industries compete against one another for a dwindling supply of emission permits, get farmers to fight food retailers, cry crocodile tears about the loss of fertile land, and then lock up grazing land in trees, heritage areas and other sterilised ground. And all the time they use their domination of the government media and education empires to spread their half-truths.

Carbon Pollution – Health Warnings Needed?

We’re told we need a carbon tax to combat dangerous carbon pollution.

The public therefore surely needs health warnings on products contaminated by this dangerous “pollutant”?

The bubbles from beer, champagne and soda water are carbon dioxide which contains 27% carbon. If carbon pollution is as bad as we are told, maybe there should be a law banning consumption of such polluting drinks in enclosed areas or public places?

Cane sugar contains a dangerously high 40% carbon, barbeque steak contains 53% carbon and fats and oils contain over 70% carbon. These products should display health warnings:

“This product contains carbon, a declared dangerous pollutant. Use of this product will cause floods and droughts, frosts and heatwaves. Exercise caution when using.”

In fact, as every food product contains carbon, there should be a health warning at the entrance of every grocery store and restaurant:

“Polluted Products Warning: All foods sold in this outlet contain carbon.”

To emphasise the danger, the health warning should be printed in green and all food products should be sold in plain wrappers.

There could also be a “Green Tick” system for safe products free of carbon pollution. The only grocery item that has earned a green tick so far is pure water.

Diligent public protectors have also discovered that exhaled human breath contains 40,000 parts per million of carbon dioxide or about 1% carbon, one hundred times higher than fresh air. This could explain the hysterical legislative proposals coming from carbon polluted debating chambers in Canberra. Therefore, in the interests of good government, all future debates on the carbon tax should be held outdoors and no carbon polluted food or drinks should be served in government cafeterias.

The Magic Horn of Plenty

We are told that the carbon tax will be “revenue neutral”.

Big deal. So was the budget in Soviet Russia – they took 100% of your income and spent it all.

But carbon tax collectors look like spending far more than their income.

Those magicians in Canberra are going to reimburse all “low income” people for the effect of their carbon tax on the cost for electricity and food. And also reduce the petrol excise. And exempt export industries. And pay our share of the UN Cancun Climate giveaway of $100 billion per year. And give subsidies and tax breaks to Green Energy. And purchase carbon credits. And provide $800 million per year to the Climate Research Industry. And pay $5.6 million annually to feed the Tom Foolery Climate Commission. And pay the bills for the wall-to-wall meetings of the Climate Change junkies. And bribe farmers with soil carbon mirages. And pay to set up the Garnaut Carbon Bank. And pay for Garnaut’s Independent Carbon Regulator. And fund the Henry reforms of tax and social security.

We have a modern fiscal miracle – “Carbon Tax – the Magic Horn of Plenty that never runs dry”.

The Battle of our Times

This year will see the climax of the Climate War in Australia. Once the new Senators take their seats Gillard and the Greens will try to legislate their carbon dioxide tax followed by the carbon rationing scheme.

We can expect no help from the big end of town – they are too busy designing exemptions or benefits for themselves. All stops will be pulled out with the government media, the research mercenaries, the climate change industry and paid spruikers like Garnaut and Flannery all firing broadsides.

Opposing them are a few independent scientists, a few sceptical journalists, a growing band of bloggists and thousands of concerned consumers and tax payers.

Politics is a numbers game, so we need help from every member and supporter. Please pass on these messages to friends and associates, write letters to the media, swamp the politicians with questions and opposition, swell the numbers at rallies and protests, ask awkward questions of politicians in public, and recruit new supporters.

The taxaholics will fail in the end, but the longer this scam continues the greater the cost and harm done to our economy, our cost of living and our environment.

No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.

Please play a part in this great battle of our times.

Forget Climate Taxes – Climate always Changes and Man must Adapt

The Carbon Sense Coalition today accused Western Governments of massive waste of community savings on frivolous climate “research” and alternative energy toys while neglecting the infrastructure needed to maintain sustainable societies in the face of an unknown climate future.

The Chairman of Carbon Sense, Mr Viv Forbes, said that none of the massive government climate spending has produced anything of long term use to the people paying their bills.

The Pyramid of Frauds

One of the fastest growing industries in the world is based on a pyramid of frauds and its inevitable collapse will be worse than the sub-prime crash.

The Global Warming Industry is now fed by billions of dollars from western taxpayers and consumers. It is based on the unproven and now discredited claim that man’s production of carbon dioxide causes dangerous global warming.

The basic fraud is this:

Green Power Just Generates Red Ink

The Carbon Sense Coalition has called for an end to all subsidies, mandated markets and sweetheart pricing for solar and wind energy.

The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, said that current energy policies were harming the existing power industry and robbing taxpayers and electricity consumers.

Forbes continued: “It’s time to end the mollycoddling of wind and solar energy toys before this stupidity does irreversible damage to Australia’s electricity supply and costs.

“The mindless green dream of producing serious base load power from whimsical breezes and intermittent sunbeams has caused a halt to new low-cost coal power, a boom in expensive gas power, a national debate about nuclear power and has had no effect at all on global climate.”

No Rerun for “Rudd’s Folly”

The Carbon Sense Coalition today said that Australia must not renew its Kyoto Agreement. The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, said that the current failing agreement was signed without due diligence by Kevin Rudd and should be referred to as “Rudd’s Folly”.

Forbes continued:

“Appropriately, the death notice for the Kyoto mis-adventure was posted by Japan, the birthplace of Kyoto, when their representative at Cancun Resort announced:

“Japan will not inscribe its target under the Kyoto protocol on any conditions or under any circumstances.”

“Thus the four biggest economies in our region (USA, China, Japan and India) will not sign; nor will Australia’s big competitors in Brazil (iron and beef), Indonesia (coal), Chile (copper) or Canada (wheat).

“If Australia is foolish enough to renew its Kyoto liabilities it will find itself isolated in the Pacific with only gullible Kiwis and faraway Europeans for company.

Who Wants a Carbon Tax?

The Carbon Sense Coalition said today that to introduce a carbon tax would be to wage war on consumers for the benefit of vested interests.

The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, also accused Australian PM Gillard of deceptive advertising in her support of a carbon tax.

“When our PM says “we need a price on carbon”, she is just sprouting another misleading Wongism like “we must reduce carbon pollution”.

“Most forms of carbon already have a price – coal, oil, gas, petrol, diesel, beef, bread, butter, diamonds and whiskey – all have a price (which usually includes a few taxes).

“What Ms Gillard wants, but dares not say, is another tax on our usage of many carbon products.

“Who wants a tax on carbon?”
